Maximus's Story
Long post.... my guy has been through a LOT!
Max started showing up on my doorstep in late 2018. After not finding anyone looking for him, he came in and stayed in my basement until he was cleared from the vet. He had only a stub of a tail (and later we discovered that his back had been broken) and lungworm, which required 21 days of treatment and continued separation from my other cats. Later, he developed a skin condition and I had to take him to a dermatologist an hour away. That was early December of 2019.
By late December he wasn't well and I took him to the vet, where it was determined he needed surgery for impacted anal glands. He went 'pale' during the surgery and almost didn't wake up. He continued to worsen and when we finally got a correct diagnosis in mid January, it was 3 letters I had never heard before ....FIP... and the first time I heard the word 'coronavirus'.
I was distraught. Thankfully I posted to Facebook and a friend knew a friend who had used Mutian! That friend of a friend listened to me cry and got me connected to Nancy and someone local and I got Max started.
He did 82 days of capsules and then 54 more days with 2 injections a day PLUS the capsules. It was rough. My boy had a hard case, but he is tough and he fought.
I'm so thankful for Mutian. 3 years later, my big boy is thriving.
