Today I celebrate Slinky’s 1st Birthday and the completion of his FIP observation period! He is officially cured from FIP and is living a normal, healthy life. It has been a long, rough road, but completely worth it. I adopted Slinky from a rescue when he was only 3 lbs. It soon became apparent that something wasn’t right when he was unable to gain weight and barely had an appetite or energy. He was diagnosed with dry FIP and I was devastated. I was fortunate enough to learn of FIP Fighters and with their help, Slinky was able to fight and overcome this horrible disease. A few months ago I would have never thought my little man would make it to see his 1st birthday. Now he is thriving and weighs 12.7 lbs!! A huge thank you to Nancy Schmidt-Moulen, without whom I could have never gotten through Slinky’s treatment. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you to Mutian for your life-saving medication. It truly is a miracle drug. Happy Birthday Slinky!! You are one of the best things to ever happen to me!
