Suki's Story
Suki completed her 84-day observation period on Wednesday, August 12th and had bloodwork done that morning.
A Mutian veterinarian has declared her clinically cured!
16 days of Mutian injections and 71 days of Mutian capsules.
We extended 3 days because the first 3 treatment days were at a lower dose for wet FIP, but then when she became ataxic, we doubled down and increased to a neurological dose.
Suki, a true Warrior Princess would not be alive today, running around playing with her toys and chasing ice cubes if it had not been for all of the support we have received from so many people!
Thanks and undying gratitude to Mutian, @Nancy Schmidt-Moulen, @Melinda Jade Outterside, @Vito Lau and the rest of her Mutian support team, truly an incredibly wonderful, dedicated group of folks, available 24/7 to assist and provide guidance to a somewhat paranoid and overly anxious cat Mom.
Thanks to @Robin Kintz who got us started on our first precious vials of liquid Mutian gold and encouraged me to continue treating after a wet to neurological diagnosis a couple days in, had me ready to give up the fight, and to @Gina Eubanks who followed up and checked in our our progress during treatment.
Thanks to @Alicia Ras, our admin, who provided options and initial guidance and to @NeeCee Delk, our Occular/Neurological admin who spent hours helping me along with encouragement and compassion.
We had the most amazing supportive team of veterinarians and vet techs behind us too, giving injections, pilling her, and our wonderful Dr. Kelli who even came to our home on Sundays to pill Miss Suki!
So many new friends through Facebook FIP support groups who I wish I could meet in person!
And of course, to Dr. Niels Pedersen, DVM, Professor Emeritus, who through his research has saved thousands of cats, who otherwise would have succumbed to FIP.
